Andrea S.J. Lin
Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate in Astronomy
Andrea obtained her B.S. from the University of Michigan, and her M.S. and Ph.D. from Penn State University with her dissertation focusing on the use of precision radial velocities and photometry to find and characterize exoplanets. She works on exoplanets, instrumentation, and exoplanet instrumentation -- she has been part of the HPF (Habitable-zone Planet Finder) and NEID science/instrument teams, and her projects include an RV survey of K-dwarfs using NEID and follow-up of TESS planet candidates, focusing on GEMS (Giant Exoplanets around M-dwarf Stars). Her work at Caltech will focus on the upcoming HISPEC instrument. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, music, board and video games, and reading about ancient history.
