Instrumentation for high contrast imaging of exoplanets, coronagraph design, wavefront sensing and control.
Profile:
After a master's degree at the Institute of Optics (France) and a traineeship at the European Space Agency (Netherlands), Arielle earned a PhD in Astronomy from the University of Paris, focusing on Adaptive Optics system for the Extremely Large Telescope. Arielle now works on instrumentation for direct detection of exoplanets, and specifically conducts coronagraphic experiments using HCST, the High Contrast Spectroscopy Testbed which is located in the ETlab. Outside of the lab, you will find her climbing or enjoying long runs on flat and hilly terrains.
