Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate in Astronomy
Born in Beijing, raised in Xi'an, China. Obtained two bachelors in Physics and Statistics (Xiamen University 13'), two Masters in Physics and Statistics (Johns Hopkins University 16' and 19'), landed with a PhD in Astrophysics (JHU 19') while working with Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) astronomers. Obtained a private pilot license during PhD to realize childhood dream -- living in one building and flying to another building to work in Manhattan -- however that might never come since Federal Aviation Administration had banned that.
Research interests: High contrast imaging and spectroscopy of circumstellar disks and exoplanets, Imaging exoplanets that are embedded in circumstellar disks, Observational planet-disk interaction via time series monitoring of disk morphology, Mathematical study and application of statistical and machine learning methods.
