David and Ellen Lee Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate in Astronomy
Susan grew up in Newfoundland and Labrador on the east coast of Canada. She received her BEng from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador and then went on to obtain an MEng and MASc from the University of Toronto. Susan was awarded her PhD from Princeton University which focused on correcting quasi-static wavefront error drifts in telescopes. As part of her work, she has launched and operated balloon-borne astronomical telescopes from bases in Canada, USA, New Zealand, and Antarctica. When she is not in the lab, Susan can be found rock climbing and skiing.
